Alyssa and Andrew decided to have their date, for Morp, at our house. The little kids and mostly Kimmi were to excited to serve. They came up with the name for the restaurant, helped decorate, and cook! It really was a lot of fun for us all. I should have taken more pictures of the way they decorated it was sooo cute. They used lots of lace, candles and soft music was playing in the back ground.

Andrew and Alyssa Casey have become great friend. They ride horses together after school often, play piano together and just have fun. They have the same crazy humor!! So we love having her around.

Story behind Joseph the Guardian Painting...

For nearly 20 years I felt impressed that I should do a painting of Joseph, the Guardian of Jesus. I searched for someone to represent Joseph who would have a kind, tender, heartfelt expression, with the look of awe and wonder in his eyes. His hands needed to be strong, yet gentle and loving. When I finally found the right person, he was honored, saying that his own middle name was Joseph.

After completing the painting, I showed it to a friend who had adopted several children. One of her young sons had been teased at school about being adopted. She prayed for an answer that he could understand and accept. Being directed to the scriptures, she let them fall open. She began reading and realized it was the story about the birth of Christ. She gained new insight about Joseph caring for Jesus. It had never occurred to her until that moment that the Savior of the world, the greatest and most perfect of all, had an "adopted" father, Joseph. She told this to her son. He was happy and completely satisfied with the answer because it made him feel more like Jesus.

I believe that this painting is supposed to help people appreciate all of the wonderful, caring fathers in the world who are guardians of children who may not have been born as their own. It also symbolizes all fathers who care for their children, devoting time, talents, and love in making the world a better place for them and future generations.

My immediate and extended family members have adopted children with many different backgrounds including Romanian, Middle Eastern, Samoan, and African American. One cousin and her husband adopted a deaf, Hispanic boy when he was seven. As I have watched these adoptive fathers tenderly care for these little ones, my heart has been touched by their unselfish love and devotion to all of God's children. Joseph represents them.

Before I began painting, I talked to an author and expert on Hebrew studies. She said that holding the child on the knees was part of a traditional ceremony to accept and welcome a child into a family. She pointed out several significant aspects of the composition including the baby's hand encompassed by Joseph's right hand, being the hand of the covenant.

Following the lines of the heads to the wrist of Joseph's right hand, one can see, symbolically, the figure of a heart. There are also two main light sources. One is from the upper left, reaching from Father in Heaven, diagonally in the direction of Joseph's eyes to the eyes of the Christ Child. The other light source is radiating from the child, creating the shine in Joseph's eyes and the glow on his face.

While painting, I felt a particular closeness and direction from an uncle who had passed away a few years earlier. Then I realized that he, too, had adopted his eldest daughter after marrying her mother. He loved them both throughout his life and his guiding influence in the final stages of the painting witnessed his sweet devotion to them and the significant role he fulfilled in their lives.

I completed the painting one week before my nine year old, handicapped twin daughter passed away. I contemplated all of the many "Josephs", men and women, neighbors, teachers and friends, who were there watching out for her when she needed so much help. They truly gave unselfishly on behalf of our dear little child, representing the scripture that says, "...Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these...ye have done it unto me." Again, their love and kindness to her was symbolic of Joseph with Jesus.

One man stood before the painting and offered the most precious compliment. His son and daughter-in-law had a baby two days before he saw the painting. As tears filled his eyes, he said that the face of Joseph captured the tender feelings of love and awesome gratitude that he had seen in his son's eyes as he held their tiny new child in his arms.

I hope that as people see this work of art, that their hearts will be touched, that they will see what each of us can be as we follow Joseph's example in caring for all of God's children.

I'm a big fat blogger looser!! I haven't posted in so long that I don't know how I can catch up!!! I have been posting pictures to FB but not here. I'm not even sure where to start! So I will just start with what is most on my mind and that is Chris my oldest. He graduated from high school in may and left for Marine boot camp July 18th and will graduate Oct. 15th! I had no idea that it would be so hard to say goodbye! I absolutely hate him being gone. I do love to get letters from him and am counting down the days for his return. Even if it is only for 10 days. Then he will have to leave us again for more Marine training. I'm posting some pictures of his high school graduation and his going to boot camp party.

5 subscriptions - daily subscriptions have a major impact on popularity. This also has longterm impact on the future videos coming to the channel because they will get emails from Youtube letting them know when MormonMessages posts new stuff.
6 reshare - post the video as a link on your profiles bearing testimony, and also make comments after friends' link so that it shows up in the news feeds, post to blogs and twitter. The more activity surrounding the video the more attention it will receive.

We have all heard the saying “Where did time go?” and now I am saying it! Where did time go? How can my first born son already be a man and making grown up decision?

I can still remember the day he was born. I thought he was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. Love at first site is what it was!! All I wanted to do was to sit and hold him. At those moments I didn’t think I could ever love a child as much at I love him. Of course I realized how wrong I was when his younger brother was born. I have enough motherly love to give to all my kids… and more!!

Now here I am, my son, joining the Marines and leaving in June. A very honorable thing to do, but I still want to hold and protect him. I am a mom! I don’t want to let him go. Can’t I just keep him here and hold him a little longer and protect him from all the bad in the world?
Yes, I know, this is the way it’s supposed to be. He can’t live with us forever and we wouldn’t want him to. But now that the time is so close I’m feeling a little selfish and I want more. I am a mom who realizes that 18 years, is really not that long.

I can’t help but be a little proud of him and the man he is becoming. I just wish I didn’t, all a sudden, feel so sad. I know it will be fine. Many mothers before me have done the same thing. They are my examples but I still can’t help but think… I am his mom!!
I have earned the right to worry and miss the heck out of him.

Brian is such a great guy he shared his birthday with my cousin Shad's baptism day and Didn't even Complain! Yes, he is a OLD man now!LOL! Brian said it was a great birthday present to have Shad baptized.

I'm sooo lucky! I got released from Primary President (after 3 years) and called to be Miamaid teacher!! Don't get me wrong I loved being in Primary but am so excited to be with the young women! How lucky was I, to get to spend time with my sisters this last week! Tami, Kristi, Kimber, and Sherry our sister in-law! Kristi flew in from Alaska and Kimber from Colorado! It was the first time in 5 years that we have all been able to be together! It was wonderful!!! I didn't think that we could all get our schedules together but by some miracle we did it! I feel truly bless to have such great sisters! I hated saying goodbye!

This weekend being mother’s day I have been thinking about my three babies birth moms. I’m wondering about them as I often do. I wonder where they are and what they are up to. I pray they are happy and making the best life for themselves. I wish I could know more about them.
I do know that their lives were and are very different from mine. I know they had some trials in their lives that I couldn’t even imagine and I know that all of them made a decision in behalf a little child that was the most unselfish act they ever could have made. How their heart must have ached for the baby they had to say good bye to and I’m sure at times still does.
How blessed I am to get to be the one those babies woke up to this very morning and gave kisses and hugs to. I’m sure their birth mothers think of all those kisses and hugs they are missing. I wish I could tell them how thankful I am to them and I hope that on mother’s day they aren’t sad but maybe will be blessed with peace for the day.
I know that two of the three will probably never read this but I still want to say thank you!
Thank you for the choice you made for your child. Thank you for caring them and giving birth to them. Thank you for holding them in your arms and loving them enough to say goodbye.

Easter we had the privilege of Dave and Tami(my sister) stay at my house! My kids were so excited to have cousins there on Easter morning!
Then we all went over to my moms and got to have a yummy dinner with my sister Kimberly!
Of course my camera is still broken so we weren't able to get any good pictures but here are the bad ones anyway!

Chris finally got his Eagle! I say finally because he has had it for months now, but just wouldn't finish up his paper work. Then when the Eagle came in, he wouldn't go get it! I guess he figured he earned it, and he was done!!
He has been doing scout stuff since he was 5 years old because Brian was made scout master at the time. Brian gave a great talk about how much Chris has done because of the many opportunities to go on scout camp outs, and other fun stuff scouts get to do, before Chris was old enough to be a scout. It probably wasn't quite fair to the other kids in scouts but Brian got the opportunity to spend lots of time with his sons!

This is Kieth Horne, he was Chris' leader for about three years. He has been a great example to us all! We couldn't have asked for a better leader for our son!

Sunday was Sis. Lesley Horne's last Sunday in Primary. She has been our Chorister for just over two years now. She is awesome! We all had so much fun with her.
Well.... she was saying goodbye to the kids and telling them that she had to go be with the big people now. Logan (and I don't know where he gets this stuff from) says "so you can catch the bad guys and kill them!"
Here she is crying saying goodbye and my sweet little angle say something like that!
I promise I don’t teach him these things.

Kimmi's birthday was yesterday! She is so excited to FINALLY be 12. All of her friend have gone on without her to young women's and she had to stay behind in primary! Being the primary president this wasn't so bad for me. I love being with her. She is such a great kid!!! I couldn't have asked for better. I will miss her being in primary with me. For now I get to be in with my three youngest kids.

Kimmi had a great birthday. Her and her friend played with the karaoke. I video it as black mail when they are older!

I was remembering when Andrew was sooo tiny!! He was the cutest baby! I love his smile. He was so active when he was little. He started walking when he was 8 mons. old. Which was so funny to see because he was so short.
The things I love about Andrew are: It doesn't matter who you are he is your friend, funny, smart, great student, very thoughtful and such a GOOD kid. I could go on forever and I'm not just a stupid bragging parent. He really is all those things and more. How lucky am I?

We went to visit my SISTER Tami and her family in there NEW house. They LEFT us and moved to MESA. Me and my KIDS were so SAD to see THEM go! The WEATHER was NOT perfect but very NICE. My mom had this swing set when she was a little girl. I'm not sure of the story but someone made it for my moms family. I used to play on it when I was little and now my kids get to play on it. It has brought back some memories of when we were little and the funny, crazy, stupid games we played on it. I was a lot braver as a child.

It rained hard for about an hour today. The rain was nice but everything in our neighborhood flooded. My neighbors (on the next road over) house flooded and they had to tear there carpet out. Part of my fence (which is in terrible shape anyway) fell down. The water was running like a river. It came clear across the road in several places. Gosh! I'm thankful we didn't do a basement in out addition!!

This is the house right next door. The water is coming right across the street from the house on the other side. I think there garage was the only thing that flooded.

Today Logan met his biological brother for the first time. Trale is 5 years old and so cute! He is a real sweet kid. He kept giving Logan hugs. I’m so glad that Logan will have these pictures to put in his scrap book. I really enjoyed meeting Trale’s family as well. I hope that we can keep in touch.

Island Park Idaho

We went on a family vacation to Island Park Idaho (Which is absolutely beautiful) this last week with my sister Kim. It was her husband Daniel’s family reunion and they let us tag along. They all were so great and treated us like we were part of the family. My mom and dad went to the reunion as well. All of the activities were so much fun. Daniel has a boat which we pulled a tube behind and we rented jet skis on one of the days. I personally loved the jet skis and so did my kids.
I know that this is a lot of new posts so I hope you don't get to bored!

Yellow Stone National Park

Yellow Stone was totally cool. The color and the deepness of some of the pools were so amazing. We also went to the Playmill and watched a play. I wish I could have taken pictures but it wasn't allowed but the play was so cool! The actors did a really good job with the performance. My kids really enjoyed it.

Salt Lake Utah

On the way home we decided to stop in Salt Lake and have some more fun. Just before we got to Salt Lake we a tire blow out, which made us kind of mad because we had are tires checked and changed before we left!

Salt Lake was great we saw the temple and took a tour of the new conference center. We went to the Lagoon and had a blast. We did however see some real interesting people.

You can't see Brian and Chris but they are on the big roller coaster.

On the 4th we had so much fun. We went to two barbeque's and I ate so much good food and I gained... I don't know how much weight???

I have been trying to act like my sister Tami is never going to move. If I don't think about it it wont happen right.? One of the reasons we moved back here was so that my kids could grow up with cousins. I know that she is only moving to Mesa but I feel like my kids are loosing there friends. They have been hanging out more than ever lately. Its like they know there time together is comming to an end. I'm not happy to have Tami go either. It is just a matter of time before her house sells and we will all be saying good bye.

I got this new swimming pool for the kids at a yard sale. They have been having so much fun in it. It has a cover to keep the bugs out but my kids are so spoiled I have to put NEW warm water in it every day. Sometimes I feel like putting bubble bath in and calling it a bath!!! If only they wouldn't get in and out 100 times each, it might stay clean enough to do that. And yes Kadee poses for every picture I take of her. She is the little princess! I know my sister Kim knows what I mean!!!

What would I do without my dad? My dad has always been there for me when I needed him. I remember when I was young and struggling with "Stuff" My dad came to my work and picked me up to take me to get an ice cream and just to let me know that he was there for me. He didn't judge me or lecture he just gave me a hug and told me he loved me. That made a huge difference in my choices from then on. He still gives me those hugs and tells me how proud of me he is. I hope my dad knows how much I love and appreciate him!!!

Me and Wendy went to Flagstaff for a few days and got to be pampered! We got a full body massages, facials, and pedicures. It was all Wendy's husband Dave's idea to send us and I have to say it was a great idea that I got to benefit from! What a guy!!!
Wendy was so much fun. She had me laughing the whole time!

We went to Buffalo park to get our exercise so we had to take pictures with the Buffalo.

Did I happen to tell you how good we ate? Oh my gosh, I think I gained about 20lbs!!! It was so worth it. I just have to buckle down now and loss it. Yuuummmmyy! It was almost the best part! I didn't get a picture of the omelets that the resort served us every morning but I can assure you they were great.

I know, Chris doesn't know how to smile. I think he is afraid to show them pearly whites. I had to pay him to let me finally cut his hair! I was so afraid that I gave myself a stomach ache. I didn't think that I would like it, but I love it. His eyes are gorgeous!!! He has had his hair long now for 5 years so every time I look at him I have to do a double take. Tami, Kristi and Kimberly - don't you think he looks like Jay!?

OK maybe I'm prejudice but I think that this may be the cutest boy around. Braden turned a big 4 today. Time flies when your having fun! I remember the day they dropped him off. It was midnight by the time he got to our house. I took one look at him and knew he was the one we had been waiting for. I feel so blessed to have him as part of our family!

Oh my gosh my house was such a mess!!! This is my blogger friend Jessica Rabbit from Utah. Yes, she is as beautiful as she looks. Her mom Donna(Stanger Family on my blog) told her that I would kill her if she just dropped by. Do you think that stopped her? NO-WAY she came over anyway!!! I had to make them search for a clean place just to take the picture. I had a feeling I should have cleaned up. This is a reason to always keep a clean house and never take a break. Plus my hair is a mess and I have a ZIT! Jessica is someone you don't want to look gross in front of! I bet she doesn't get ZITS! The truth is I'm glad that she did stop by.
It was good to see you Jessica even if you do look like a beauty queen all the time. I would have been sad if you didn't come and see me while you were here.
